You read history. Yes, everyone does and so might have you. Flipping through the pages at some point or the other, and if not, one comes across the known personalities. There are role models for individuals. They religiously go on to follow their acts, deeds and actions.
One important question that comes to me every now and then is “Why do we need role models?”
Some would justify the above query by saying that it would help them follow their dreams, others would mark it by saying that they want to be like them.
Another question, “Do we really need role models?”
The answer I would be giving to this would be “NO”. A big ‘NO’ ‘NO’. We need to be our own hero. Every man/woman into the history had been unique in themselves. We can follow our dreams, our reasons, our mantra, our justification to be a different person, well, reasons could be many.
What belief goes through me is that, we can learn from the past and set our own ambitions to conquer. We can have our own limitations and boundaries marked to be achieved. Definitely, everyone knows one’s own potential and can define the heights which one needs to conquer.
What might go wrong in imitating others would be losing of one’s own self, missing out the way, chances of distraction and mislead, etc. Also, one might come across several suggestions of proceeding towards the task and making a completion. There, one can be a good listener and take the beneficial points, analyze them and step ahead.
The great people who have been marked since the times immemorial have been due to their unique character and their variant personality. They had their motives to be achieved before them and that helped them to pursue their dreams in a better way. Then, why cannot we move towards our goals, and make them appear to be brighter than the rest. They were no different then us, its just that they went on to believe their inner self, and discovered a better part of themselves.
Every person is different and carries different potential. If one decides on to set and explore one’s one hidden talent, nothing better could help in stepping towards the highest peaks of success.
